TERMS OF SERVICE,
ORDERING AND PAYMENT

For the purposes of the Terms of Service, 'you' refers to the purchasing customer or user of Mike’s Beardeds website or services, and "we" refers to Mike’s Beardeds and its representatives.

Sale is on a "first come first served" basis. An animal that is placed in a shopping cart will still be shown as available until checkout is complete. For this reason, placing an animal in your shopping cart does not reserve it for you until you complete checkout. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

All animals must be paid for in full before they will be shipped.

We will hold a dragon for you for up to 14 days after purchase. Deposits are not refundable, but may be credited towards a different purchase if you change your mind. Holds lasting longer than 14 days are by special arrangement only.
SHIPPING

We ship our animals using FedEx priority overnight through Morphmarket shipping. We ship out Monday - Wednesday for delivery the next day. Shipping is to your local Fedex shipping hub agreed upon before shipping unless other arrangements have been made. During hot or cold weather there will not be exceptions to this for the safety of the animal.

We will provide you with a shipment tracking number with every order. This is usually emailed directly to you through the Fedex system. It is important that you use the email you ant tracking sent to when ordering. A phone number is also needed for any emergencies that may arrive through the shipping process. This gives Fedex the ability to contact you if something arises.

Adverse weather conditions may prevent us from sending your package on the date planned. If it is necessary to change the shipping date we will contact you to ensure someone will be available to receive your animals on the new delivery date. This is rare but we will do our best to accommodate you.

All purchases are considered "on hold" for you once you have made full or partial payment, until the animal is shipped out to you. "On hold" means that the animal is reserved for you and no longer available for purchase by other customers. In order to keep your purchase on hold for you, we must be able to reach you if necessary, such as to arrange delivery.

Someone must be available to receive the delivery of your purchase on the first attempt if a residential delivery is done, and the package must be brought inside and unboxed immediately. We cannot guarantee the wellbeing of animals that are left outside in the elements or returned to the delivery truck because no one was available to receive them. It is the buyer's responsibility to contact us within 30 minutes of the delivery time recorded by FEDEX to report any issue related to delivery. If there is a problem with your delivery not arriving, such as a delay, contact us immediately.

Packages that are scheduled to be held for pickup at your local Fedex Ship Center must be picked up on the pre-scheduled day they arrive. If the buyer fails to pick up the package that day then the purchase is forfeited. The package will be returned to Mike’s Beardeds for the well being of the animal, with no refund provided.

Mike’s Beardeds in its sole discretion, may require a signature at delivery, or for the package to be picked up at a FedEx ship center. This is generally required only for high priced orders.

Mike’s Beardeds will not knowingly ship an animal to any location where that animal cannot be legally shipped to or possessed. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that they are in compliance with State and local laws.
GUARANTEE

To maintain the 14 day health guarantee it is the buyer's responsibility to provide care that is substantially similar to our care sheet.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to contact Mike’s Beardeds immediately with any concerns about the health, set up, or care of any dragons purchased from us. Do not wait. Small reptiles can go down hill very quickly and often small changes in care are all that is needed. Health guarantee is void if you do not keep Mike’s Beardeds informed of health issues or suspected health issues as they occur.

Mike’s Beardeds will never offer for sale or ship an animal that is known to not be in perfect health. It is the buyer's responsibility to quarantine newly purchased animals as described in our care sheet, and is a requirement to maintain the 14 day guarantee. Mike’s Beardeds is not responsible for disease transmission between animals.

Like all animals, bearded dragons may carry pathogens that can be transmitted to humans. It is the buyer's responsibility to maintain safe handling practices as described in our care sheet. Mike’s Beardeds is not responsible for any transmission of disease between the animals we sell and humans(This is so unlikely I laugh that I actually have it listed).

Sex of any animal is not guaranteed unless guaranteed is specified. I am pretty good at sexing most dragons and have a very good track record, but sometimes I may get this wrong with smaller animals or animals that aren’t as obvious. If sex is extremely important to you, reach out to me and ask how confident I am on sex. I’ll gladly tell you. Sometimes males are so blatantly obvious it’s 100% Sometimes females aren’t as obvious on babies.

In evaluating a claim upon our health guarantee or live arrival guarantee, Mike’s Beardeds may ask for any relevant information needed to evaluate the situation, including photos of the dragon and its set up, and veterinary records if there are any. It is the responsibility of the buyer to provide the information that Mike’s Beardeds requests.

Returns of animals are on a case by case basis.
DEPOSITS/HOLDS
Deposits/holds for animals can be made on available or soon to be available animals. a $50 deposit fee will hold an animal for up to 30 days. If the animal is paid for within that 30 days, the deposit goes towards the total price of the animal. If the buyer doesn't pay off the animal in full within that 30 day hold period, the deposit will go towards the housing and feeding costs to house that animal for up to another 30 days, where the buyer has the opportunity to pay for the animal in full minus the $50 deposit that is forfeited. If the buyer does not pay for the animal in full or changes their mind on buying the animal, the $50 deposit is non refundable. If the buyer has paid more towards the animal in the first 30 days than the $50 deposit, but decides to back out of the sale, all extra payment other than the $50 deposit will be refunded. This policy is designed to keep people from holding an animal for long periods of time before backing out without paying. It keeps people honest and is fair.
